Viewing HCD configuration reports

Besides the reports produced by HCM, you can also view HCD configuration reports on your HCM workstation in connected mode. Use the pull-down choice View IODF Reports… from the File menu to invoke the IODF Reports dialog (Figure 1) from where you can select HCD configuration reports about the logical I/O configuration data in the current IODF. Optionally, you can limit the reports to selected objects (for example, a processor or an OS configuration).

Also, for these reports, you can select from various output formats. You can view the contents of the selected reports in a window and optionally you can save the output into a file on your workstation. Or you can save the reports in CSV (comma separated values) format for later processing the data, and you can also save the reports in XML format. To view the generated XML reports in a web browser, you need to provide the appropriate XSL and CSL style sheets and XSD schema definitions.

Note: The applications which you want to use for further processing the generated CSV files, may expect different separation characters. Therefore, if you select the CSV option, HCM offers a dialog to set the appropriate separation character before it generates the output.
