HCD allows you to activate your configuration dynamically, that
is to change a currently active configuration without the need to
POR or IPL your system again.
You can do this for local processors HCD is running on as well as for systems
that are configured in a sysplex. You can:
- Activate software configuration changes only
- Activate software and hardware configuration changes
- Activate a configuration sysplex wide
- Switch IOCDS for the next POR
