You can automatically apply standard names to all ports of one or more switches. Select Switch… from the Edit menu bar choice. The Edit a Switch dialog appears, showing the list of defined switches. Select one or more switches for which you want to generate default switch port names and press the Port Names button. This action composes a default name for all involved ports, taking up to the first 24 characters of the corresponding connection information. This connection information can also be seen from the Connected to column of the Switch dialog, when accessing the related switch from the diagram. HCM issues a message that lets you decide whether you want to accept the composed default names.
