VSAMRLS_SHCDS_CONSISTENCY

IBM Health Checker for z/OS User's Guide
SC23-6843-02

Description:
The check is looking to see if all SHCDSs are allocated with consistent allocation amounts.
Reason for check:

Allocate SHCDSs with consistent allocation amounts and use consistent values for primary allocation and secondary allocation for each SHCDS. Consistent allocation optimizes space utilization, while inconsistent allocation amounts waste space.

When the SHCDS with the smallest allocation starts to runs out of space, all SHCDSs are extended with their secondary quantity. SHCDS with large secondary quantities may extend unnecessarily. VSAM RLS expects identical allocation amount for all SHCDSs.
