XRC copy operations rely on host processing resources. Therefore, analyze the host resources that are necessary for your applications. Ensure that the SDM system has the necessary processing capacity required to maintain optimal performance. This includes defining processors with the appropriate MIP capability (about 2-4 MIPs per 100 write updates) and multiprocessor capability (2-4 processors per SDM). The SDM supports a uniprocessor environment. Multiprocessors allow more parallelism, but if the MIPs are sufficient the data mover runs efficiently on a single processor.
