OUTDYNAME specifies that the volume to be restored to is to be dynamically allocated. The volume must be mounted and online. You cannot specify a nonspecific volume serial number using an asterisk (*). For a logical data set restore or when you specify spill files, one or more volumes are allowed. For any other type of restore, only one volume is allowed.

volser

Specifies the volume serial number of a DASD volume to be restored.

unit

Specifies the device type of a DASD volume to be restored. This parameter is optional.
