Defining global Video MCU settings

Specify a set of global IBM® Sametime® Video MCU settings to apply to all Video MCUs that are managed by a single IBM Sametime Video Manager Server.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM WebSphere® Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
  2. Click Sametime System Console > Sametime Servers > Sametime Video MCU Servers.
  3. Click Video MCU global settings.
  4. Complete these fields:
    • SIP port - Specify the preferred SIP server port.
    • SIP transport - Select one of these SIP transport types: TCP, TLS, or UDP. The transport protocol determines the network transport to use for sending SIP messages.
    • Media port range from - Specify the minimum media port value.
    • Media port range to - Specify the maximum media port value.
    • TURN server configuration
      • NAT enabled - Select this field to enable a Network Address Translator. When NAT is enabled, the TURN server host and port fields are enabled, as well as the Token enabled field.
      • TURN server host - Specify the TURN server's IP address. If the Video MCU is inside a firewall, specify an internal IP address, otherwise, specify an external IP address. The TURN server's host name is not supported for this field.
      • TURN server port - Specify the TURN server port number.
      • Token enabled When this field is selected, the Token password field is active.
      • Token password - Enter the token password.
      QoS configuration (for more information, see Configuring QoS (quality of service) settings for audio and video transmissions).
      • QoS enabled - Select this field to enable quality of service processing on audio and video data packets.
      • QoS IP audio - Type the DSCP value for outgoing audio RTP packets.
      • QoS IP video - Type the DSCP value for outgoing video RTP packets.
  5. Click OK.
