New test objects in an object map

After recording, Functional Tester may automatically display the test object map. This occurs by default if new test objects were added to an existing map. You can turn this on or off in the Recorder page by selecting or clearing the Bring up object map if there is new test object box.

In the test object map, the newly added test objects are marked New and displayed in blue.

You can use the default filter, Test Object is NEW, to search for all the new test objects in the test object map. For more information, see the related topic about using filters to find objects in the test object map.

To remove the New designation for a single test object, right-click the object and click Test Object > Accept Node.

To remove the New designation for all new test objects, right-click the object and click Test Object > Accept All.

You can also automatically remove all New designations when you close the test object map. To do so, on the Test Object Map menu, click Preferences and make sure the Clear State On Close is checked.
