Prerequisites for the IBM Script Portlet V 1.3
Before you install the IBM Script Portlet Version 1.3, your portal environment must meet the minimum requirements.
- WebSphere® Portal V 8.5 CF09 or later:
- If you have WebSphere Portal Version 8.5 with cumulative fix CF09 or a later cumulative fix, do not use IBM Script Portlet Version 1.3. Use the newer Script Portlet version that is included with these cumulative fixes. For more details about this version of the Script Portlet, read the Script Portlet section in the WebSphere Portal product documentation.
- WebSphere Portal V 8.5 CF08 or earlier:
- To use the IBM Script Portlet with IBM® WebSphere Portal Version 8.5, you must update to the combined cumulative fix 05 or later. If you add the Script Portlet from the content toolbar in combined cumulative fix 05, it creates a reference to the shared library instance of the Script Portlet application. In previous versions, when you add the Script Portlet from the content toolbar, it results in a copy of the Script Portlet application.
- WebSphere Portal V 8.0.0.1:
- To use the IBM Script Portlet with IBM WebSphere Portal Version 8.0.0.1, you must apply combined cumulative fix 13 on your portal before you proceed with the installation of IBM Script Portlet V 1.3.
- Note for upgrading from an earlier version of IBM Script Portlet to Version 1.3:
- If you previously installed IBM Script Portlet on your portal, you must uninstall it before you can install the newest version. For information about upgrading to Version 1.3 of the Script Portlet, read Upgrading the Script Portlet to Version 1.3.
