Overriding import and export properties in Script Portlet V 1.3

You can override the properties that the Script Portlet uses when it imports or export an application to change the parameters of the import or export. You can change parameters such as the file types and sizes that can be uploaded and the number of files that are allowed in a compressed file.

About this task

By default, the Script Portlet allows only certain file types to be uploaded. The Script Portlet import feature does not scan uploaded files, so exercise caution before you allow extra file types as part of an import. If you must add file types, or change any of the other properties, follow these steps.

These properties are specific to a portal. Each Virtual Portal has its own settings and you must override each of those portals separately.

Procedure

  1. Add a text component that is called Script Portlet Override Properties in the Web Content Manager library Script Portlet Library. In this component, you can override any of the properties in the Script Portlet Properties component.
  2. Copy the properties that you want to override from the Script Portlet Configuration Properties component to the Script Portlet Override Properties component.
  3. Edit the properties that you want to change and save the file.
  4. Optional: If you upgrade your Script Portlet to another version, check to see whether any items you overrode were changed by default. Change the text component and save the component.
