Configuring InfoSphere DataStage monitoring

You must configure the DataStage® agent so that the agent can collect data to monitor the health and performance of the DataStage server resources.

Before you begin

If you want to configure DataStage agent to monitor DataStage along with Db2 database, you need to set DB2_COMPATIBILITY_VECTOR variable.

Complete the following steps to set DB2_COMPATIBILITY_VECTOR variable:

Set the DB2_COMPATIBILITY_VECTOR variable by using the following command:
```
db2set DB2_COMPATIBILITY_VECTOR=01
```
Stop the Db2 database by using the following command:
```
db2stop
```
Start the Db2 database by using the following command:
```
db2start
```

The DataStage agent is a multiple instance agent. You must create the first instance and start the agent manually.
