Small Programming Enhancements released in March 2018
The following features were provided with IBM® Z Workload Scheduler small programming enhancements (SPEs) released for Version 9.3, in March 2018.
- Dependencies between applications and operations or between applications and applications are
also supported in:
- Critical path networks. For details, see Setting an operation as a critical path target.
- Workload Automation Programming Language. For detailed information, see Workload Automation Programming Language for Z User's Guide and Reference.
- What-if analysis tool (provided with the Dynamic Workload Console V9.4, Fix Pack 3).
- You can create a Docker image to run IBM Z Workload Scheduler Agents (also known as z-centric agents). To create a Docker container, you are provided with step-by-step instructions and the latest versions of the required samples on GitHub here.
- With the Dynamic Workload Console V9.4, Fix Pack 3 the following enhancements have been implemented:
- In the Edit JCL panel, if another user was editing a JCL and closed the browser without unlocking it, the JCL remains locked until the session timeout expires.
- The following columns have been added in the Monitor Jobs and Monitor Tasks panels when you
select multiple engines:
- Job Number
- Job Identifier
- Job Error code
- Actual End
