Obtaining the Operations Center installation package

You can obtain the installation package from the product DVD or from an IBM® download site such as IBM Passport Advantage® or IBM Fix Central.

About this task

If you obtain the package from the product DVD, ensure that the installation files are visible on the DVD drive.

If you obtain the package from an IBM download site, you must extract the installation files.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to extract the Operations Center installation files:

On AIX® systems:
1. Download the following package file to the directory of your choice:
```
7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-AIX.bin
```
2. Ensure that you have executable permission for the package file.
  If necessary, change the file permissions by issuing the following command:
```
chmod a+x 7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-AIX.bin
```
3. Issue the following command to extract the installation files:
```
 ./7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-AIX.bin
```
  The self-extracting package file is extracted to the directory.
On Linux systems:
1. Download one of the following package files to the directory of your choice:
  - 7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-LinuxS390.bin
  - 7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-Linuxx64.bin
2. Ensure that you have executable permission for the package file.
  If necessary, change the file permissions by issuing the following command:
```
chmod a+x package_name.bin
```
3. Issue the following command to extract the installation files:
```
 ./package_name.bin
```
  The self-extracting package file is extracted to the directory.
On Windows systems:
1. Download the following package file to the directory of your choice:
```
7.1.3.000-TIV-TSMOC-Windows.exe
```
2. In Windows Explorer, double-click the file name to extract the installation files.
  The self-extracting package file is extracted to the directory.
