Installing and upgrading Tivoli Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager

IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager brings together multiple components to monitor Tivoli Storage Manager servers, and to produce historical reports about server and client activities. The documentation set for this release does not include an updated version of the installation and upgrade instructions.

Before you upgrade Tivoli Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager to Version 7.1.3, stop the Jazz for Service Management server by issuing the following command:
 AIX operating systemsLinux operating systemsJazzSM_directory/stopServer.sh server -user JazzSM_user -password JazzSM_password
 Windows operating systemsJazzSM_directory\stopServer.bat server -user JazzSM_user -password JazzSM_password
where
  • JazzSM_directory specifies the path where you installed Jazz for Service Management.
  • server specifies the name of the Jazz for Service Management server.
  • JazzSM_user specifies the service management administrator ID. The default ID is smadmin.
  • JazzSM_password specifies the password for JazzSM_user.
For example:
 AIX operating systemsLinux operating systems/opt/IBM/JazzSM/profile/bin/stopServer.sh server1 -user smadmin 
-password smpassword
 C:\Program Files\IBM\JazzSM\profile\bin\stopServer.bat server1 
-user smadmin -password smpassword
Windows operating systemsIf you need to remove the server1.pid file, issue the following command:
del C:\Program Files\IBM\JazzSM\profile\logs\server1\server1.pid
