The server checks the amount of real memory in the system to optimize use of storage in the database buffer pool. The server uses Object Data Manager (ODM) to determine how much real memory is installed on the system. The routines used to call ODM failed or were unable to return the real memory size.
Server operation continues. The server allows the data base buffer pool size to grow withoug taking into account real memory.
The server may need to run as a root user to obtain this information.
