ANR0227S
Incorrect database opened. Server cannot start.

Explanation

The ID of the database opened does not match the ID stored in the database ID file (dsmserv.dbid).

System action

The server does not start.

User response

Ensure that you are in the proper instance directory for the database being opened, and that the environment is set up correctly. The instance directory is generally the directory from which you formatted the database, or, if on UNIX, have specified with the -i command-line option.

When the ID of the database that is opened does not match the ID that is stored in the database ID file (dsmserv.dbid), the server will not start. Use the -S (skip DB ID check) parameter after deleting the dsmserv.dbid file. After the initial use of the -S parameter in a restore scenario, the server creates a new dsmserv.dbid file in the instance directory.
