Use the vmbacknodelete option with the backup VM command to specify that the full VM backup files copied to the backup proxy are not deleted at the end of the backup.
Use this option to keep one or more of your most recent backups on the backup proxy, which allows for faster restore operations that do not require pulling the backup files from the Tivoli® Storage Manager Server.
The full VM backup staging directory is BACKUP CURRENT. This directory is where VMware exports the full VM files, and where Tivoli Storage Manager performs the backup. When the backup is complete, this directory is either deleted, or if you have specified the vmbacknodelete option, this directory is renamed with a date and time stamp of the full VM backup.

the name of your vmware guest.This option is valid for Windows clients that are configured as a vStorage backup server of a VMware virtual machine. You can use this option with VCB full VM backups. You cannot use this option VSTOR full VM backups
