The clusternode option specifies how the Tivoli® Storage Manager Backup-Archive Client manages cluster drives.
When the clusternode yes is set, only shared cluster drives are available for backup and archive processing. When you set clusternode yes, the node name defaults to the cluster name.
To back up local drives or Windows Server system state, you must set clusternode no.
Note: You must set the clusternode yes for all Tivoli Storage Manager-managed cluster operations. Inconsistent use of the clusternode option for a given Tivoli Storage Manager cluster node name can cause Tivoli Storage Manager to invalidate the cluster node name encrypted password, and prompt the user to reenter the password during the next Tivoli Storage Manager program invocation.
Use the optfile option to properly call the correct (cluster) dsm.opt for all Tivoli Storage Manager programs to ensure proper Tivoli Storage Manager functionality for cluster related operations. See the optfile option description for more information.
This option is valid for Windows Server operating system clients.
Place this option in the client options file (dsm.opt).
This option is valid only on the initial command line. It is not valid in interactive mode.
