Installing from the Tivoli Storage Manager DVDs

AIX operating systems IBM® Tivoli Storage Manager AIX® Client
Contains the AIX client image. The AIX client image is in the /usr/sys/inst.images directory.
HP-UX operating systems IBM Tivoli Storage Manager HP Client
Contains the HP-UX client image. The image is in the tsmcli/hp11ia64/ directory.
Linux operating systems IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Linux Clients
Contains the Linux x86_64, Linux on System z®, and LinuxPPC client images. The images reside in the tsmcli/‘platform'/ directory structure, where ‘platform' is one of the following platform designations: Linux x86_64, Linux on System z, or LinuxPPC (for Linux on POWER® client).
Mac OS X operating systems IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Mac OS X Client
Contains the Mac OS X client images. The images reside in the tsmcli/mac directory.
Oracle Solaris operating systems IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Solaris SPARC Client
Contains the Solaris client images. The images are in the tsmcli/solaris directory.

Windows operating systems The Tivoli Storage Manager Windows client is included on the desktop client installation DVD in the setup directory structure.

Windows operating systems You can copy all of the clients to your server workstation so that client workstations can get the files from the x:\tsmcli directory. The following is a sample command for Windows:
xcopy h:\setup\* x:\ /s
Windows operating systems Note: All of the examples in this topic use the h drive as the DVD or mounted drive. Substitute h with the DVD drive of your system.
