This topic describes the options that you can use to enable
LAN-free data movement, after you have installed and configured the Tivoli® Storage Manager Managed
System for SAN feature on the client workstation.
The following are the options that you can use to enable LAN-free
data movement:
- enablelanfree
- Specifies whether to enable an available LAN-free path to a SAN-attached
storage device.
- lanfreecommmethod
- Specifies a communication protocol between the client and the
Storage Agent.
- lanfreeshmport
- Specifies the unique number that is used by the client and the
storage agent to identify shared memory area used for communications.
- lanfreetcpport
- Specifies the TCP/IP port number where the Storage Agent is listening.
- lanfreetcpserveraddress
- Specifies the TCP/IP address for the Tivoli Storage Manager storage agent.
