CEDB and CEDC
Two further resource definition transactions, CEDB and CEDC, allow you to use some, but not all, of the functions of CEDA. These transactions are described in the CEDA transaction tutorial in the Resource Definition Guide.
CEDB
When you use the CEDB transaction, the INSTALL command is not available to you. This means that you can update the CSD, but not the running CICS system.CEDC
The CEDC transaction allows you only to look at data on the CICS system definition (CSD) file. You cannot update either the CSD file or the running CICS system. The only options that are available are DISPLAY, EXPAND, and VIEW.
