CICS provides interfaces that can be used by vendors to use and extend the capabilities that are provided in CICS.

Creating user resource types in bundles
The resource types that are supported in a bundle are extensible, so you can provide your own resource types if required. To support your new resource type in CICS, you must write a program to handle the creation and life cycle of the resource type when the bundle is deployed to CICS.
Management bundle schemas
CICS® supplies a set of schemas that describe the XML files that are required for management bundles. Management bundles are installed in a CMAS and specify the CICS bundles that are installed in one or more CICS regions.
CICS bundle project schemas
CICS supplies a schema that describes the XML file that is required for a policy bundle.

JVM server linkable interface containers
The JVM server linkable interface containers are used on the DFHSJJS-V1 channel to send and receive information between two application programs. Use the JVM server linkable client containers on the DFHNODE channel to send and receive information between a user-written application program and a pipeline handler.
Auditing of SPI commands
Some system programming interface commands are now audited. This feature provides useful information about configuration changes to vendor products for problem diagnosis.
