Using Java with web services

You can use Java to create web service applications. Different techniques are used to create these applications compared with the techniques used with other programming languages. For most non-Java programming languages, you use the web services assistants to enable applications. Using the web services assistant means that the data is shared between CICS and the application by using a container or COMMAREA. You can use the web services assistant with Java applications, however, the following tasks provide more suitable methods for creating Java web services for Java applications.
