Creating a deployment package by using the FileNet Deployment Manager graphical user interface

Use the graphical interface to select data and half maps to create a deployment package.

Complete the following procedure to create a deployment package by using the FileNet® Deployment Manager graphical user interface.

1. From FileNet Deployment Manager, select File > Deploy Package > Create Deploy Package.... The Create Deploy Package page opens.
2. Select a deployment data set.
3. Select the source environment that has the half maps that you want to include in the deployment package. Typically, you want to select the same environment that you used to create the deployment data set.
4. Confirm the deployment package name and location that is provided by FileNet Deployment Manager, or click Change and enter a new name and location.
5. Click Finish.
6. If a deployment package with the same name and location exists, confirm that you want to overwrite the existing file. To help the mapping and import process when the deployment package is extracted on another system, make sure that the source environment half maps are fully populated before you create the deployment package.
