When you recover a file storage area, you can recover just
the file storage area without recovering the associated object store
data.
About this task
If you recover a file storage area without restoring the
associated object store data, the object store data and the file storage
area might be out of sync. The object store data might link to nonexistent
document versions or might not have links to existing document versions,
or you could edit an outdated version of a workflow definition.
Procedure
To recover an object store and a file storage area:
- Disable the file storage area that you want to recover.
- Recover the file storage area by using the same utility
that was used to create the backup.
- If the file storage area is configured for full-text search,
recover the corresponding index areas.
Tip: Optionally,
you can reindex the file storage area after the recovery is complete.
- Enable the file storage area after you complete the recovery.
- Run the content consistency checker tool to ensure that
the file storage area and the object store database are synchronized.
- Clear the content cache that is associated with the object
store by manually deleting the contents of the content cache folder.
