Tasks for advanced installation

Before you perform an advanced installation, you must make sure that you have a user account with administrator privileges and that your system meets all system requirements. You might also want to uninstall any previous versions of XL C/C++ on your system. After you have finished installing the compiler you must confirm that the installation has been successful and enable the man pages of the compiler.

The recommended procedure for advanced installation is outlined in the following table:
