Creating DB2 databases and validating database connections
If you need new DB2 databases, create the databases
before creating your deployment environment. Even if you have no new
databases, validate that all database connections are correctly configured
before you continue.
Procedure
For each deployment environment that you are creating, complete the following steps:
Results
After all connections are checked, you see a message that the BPMConfig -validate command completed successfully.
If you have existing databases with a page size less than 32K, you might see a validation error similar to CWMCB0352E: Database WPS62 does not have defined a sufficient pagesize. Actual size = 4096, minimum size = 32768. You can ignore this error, but make sure that any new tables are created in a 32K page size table space.
You might also see validation errors similar to the following
errors:
CWMCB0350E: Database W70 does not have defined a sufficient logfile size.
Use UPDATE DB CFG FOR W70 USING LOGFILSIZ 16384 DEFERRED to change.
Actual size = 1024, minimum size = 16384.
CWMCB0351E: Database W70 does not have defined a sufficient secondary
logfile size. Use UPDATE DB CFG FOR W70 USING LOGSECOND 64 DEFERRED to change.
Actual size = 12, minimum size = 64.
You can ignore these errors, or you can use UPDATE DB CFG FOR W70 USING LOGFILSIZ 16384 DEFERRED and
UPDATE DB CFG FOR W70 USING LOGSECOND 64 DEFERRED to fix the errors.
