Configuring how to receive events
You can configure how events flow from applications to IBM® Business Monitor.
- Event overview
The applications that you monitor emit events to IBM Business Monitor, which delivers the events to the associated monitor model table. The way that events are emitted to IBM Business Monitor and the way that the events are delivered to the monitor model table depend on various factors, such as whether the event source is local or remote and whether the application is running on a system (such as IBM Business Process Manager) that automatically emits events. - Receiving events in Business Monitor
Table-based event delivery uses a database table to deliver events to the monitor model. You configure your event service to send events to the event database table for the monitor model. IBM Business Monitor uses table-based event delivery exclusively. If you were using queue-based event delivery in an earlier version, you must reconfigure your applications to use table-based event delivery for V8.5.5.
