Command level: changes

The command level on all platforms changes to 800 in IBM® MQ Version 8.0. On certain platforms it changes to 801 in IBM MQ 8.0.0, Fix Pack 2, and to 802 in IBM MQ 8.0.0, Fix Pack 3. [V8.0.0.4 Oct 2015]The command level remains at 802 for those platforms in IBM MQ 8.0.0, Fix Pack 4.

Command level 802

This command level becomes available when you install IBM MQ Version 8.0.0, Fix Pack 3 on the following platforms:
  • UNIX
  • IBM i
  • Windows
If you want to use the Pluggable Authentication Method (PAM) authorization, you must explicitly change the command level to 802, as described in Using PAM

Command level 801

This command level becomes available when you install IBM MQ Version 8.0.0, Fix Pack 2 on the following platforms:
  • UNIX
  • IBM i
If you want to use LDAP authorization, you must explicitly change the command level to 801 or later, as described in Overview of LDAP authorization.
