Worksheet for configuring IBM FileNet Collaboration Services

Work with your IBM® Content Navigator administrator to gather the information that you need to configure IBM FileNet® Collaboration Services. The IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool requires that you enter values prepared in advance. The worksheet is a useful place to put these values.

Print this worksheet and enter values as you prepare for your installation.

Use this worksheet when you complete the following configuration and deployment task in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool:
  • Configure IBM FileNet Collaboration Services
Table 1. Parameters required to connect to your IBM FileNet Collaboration Services environment
Parameter Description Value
Collocated with Content Engine Specify whether you are deploying IBM FileNet Collaboration Services to the profile where Content Platform Engine or Content Engine is deployed.
Content Platform Engine EJB URL The EJB URL of the Content Platform Engine or Content Engine server. The URL is case sensitive and has the following format on WebSphere® Application Server:
iiop://host_name:port_number/FileNet/
Engine

On base deployments, the default port number is 2809.

For high availability configurations of Content Platform Engine or Content Engine, use the highly available EJB transport URL. The URL has the following format on WebSphere Application Server:
corbaloc::node1_host_name:
node1_port_name,:node2_hostname:
node1_port_number/cell/clusters/
ce_cluster_name/ FileNet/Engine

The preceding example includes two nodes, but you can use varying numbers of nodes.

Community library object store Specify the symbolic name of the object store that you want to use to store community libraries.

Only one object store can be used in your IBM FileNet P8 domain to store new community libraries. New community libraries are created on this object store.

If you have existing community libraries on other object stores, users can still access the libraries from IBM Connections.

IBM Connections URL The URL to your IBM Connections server with the format http://IBMConnectionsServer:port_number. If IBM Connections is configured to use IBM HTTP Server, you can omit the port number from the URL.
Important: The URL must be accessible to IBM Connections users because this is the link that IBM FileNet Collaboration Services uses to create links to document landing pages in IBM Connections.

IBM Connections HTTPS URL If IBM Connections is configured to use SSL, specify the HTTPS URL to your IIBM Connections server with the format: https://IBMConnectionsServer:port_number.

If IBM Connections is configured to use IBM HTTP Server, you can omit the port number from the URL.
