Work with your web application server administrator to gather the information that you need to configure and deploy IBM® Content Navigator or IBM CMIS to your IBM WebSphere® Application Server environment. The IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool requires that you enter values prepared in advance. The worksheet is a useful place to put these values.
Print this worksheet and enter values as you prepare your installation.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
Application server version | The version of IBM WebSphere Application Server that you are deploying to. | |
Installation directory | The fully qualified path of the IBM WebSphere Application Server
AppServer directory.
|
|
Profile | The absolute path of an existing IBM WebSphere Application Server profile. This profile enables the configuration
and deployment tool to use the application server client to connect to the instance
of the web application server where you plan to deploy IBM Content
Navigator. The default profile is AppSrv01.
|
|
Administrator user name | Important: IBM WebSphere Application Server administrative
security must be enabled.
The user name of an IBM WebSphere Application Server administrator. |
|
Administrator password | The password for the specified administrator user name. | |
SOAP connector port | The SOAP connector port number of the web application server. For a stand-alone application server, the default value is 8880. For a managed server or cluster, the default value on the deployment manager is 8879. | |
Host name | The machine name or the IP address of the server where IBM WebSphere Application Server is installed. The server can be local or remote. For a managed server or cluster, use the host name of the deployment manager server. | |
Cell | The cell where you want to deploy IBM Content Navigator. You must specify an existing cell. | |
Deployment session timeout | The amount of time, in seconds, that the transaction with the web application server runs before the transaction times out. The default is 180 seconds. If you have a system that has minimal resources, you might want to increase the session timeout. | |
Use SSL certificates for the server communication | If SSL security for Configuring Common Secure Interoperability
Version 2 (CSIV2) is configured on the web application server, you can enable SSL
security for the IBM Content
Navigator web application. Important: If you have SSL security for CSIV2 configured and you do not
configure IBM Content
Navigator for SSL, SSL security is
disabled on the web application server. This means that server-to-server
communications between the IBM Content
Navigator web
application and Content Engine or the IBM Content
Manager resource manager are not
secured.
