The Microsoft SharePoint plug-in adds the repository type that
is called Connection to Microsoft SharePoint
Site. Use this repository type to create new repositories to represent your
Microsoft SharePoint
sites.
Before you begin
If you are using
WebSphere® Application
Server Version 8.0 or later,
ensure that an isolated shared library is configured on
WebSphere Application
Server. Otherwise, a connection error occurs when you try
to connect to a
Microsoft SharePoint site repository.
About this task
For the
Add to Microsoft SharePoint
action, a list of
Microsoft SharePoint sites is displayed so
that users can navigate to find the location to add the document. To create the list of
Microsoft SharePoint sites to display, you must create
repositories that represent the destination
Microsoft SharePoint sites by specifying a display name and URL. The display name is displayed when you
use the
Add to Microsoft SharePoint
action. The URL points to the top node of the navigation tree where the user can
navigate to the location to add the document. The URL of the
Microsoft SharePoint site can point to a collection (for
example,
http://sitecollection1.mycompany.com) or a subsite
(for example,
http://sitecollection1.mycompany.com/subsite).
