Configuring IBM Content Manager repositories for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office

If you want to use IBM® Content Navigator for Microsoft Office to access documents that are stored on an IBM Content Manager repository, you must specify the classes that are used when users add email to the repository or when users create folders.

Before you begin

Before you configure your IBM Content Manager repositories for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, you must create or configure a class for adding email to the repository. You must create or configure a class with the following properties:
Table 1. Required properties for a class that can be used when adding email from Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Outlook Property Repository Property Property Type
Subject EmailSubject String
From From String
To To Multi-valued string
CC CarbonCopy Multi-valued string
Sent on SentOn Date Time
Received on ReceivedOn Date Time

The class that you specify when you configure your IBM Content Manager repository must use the property names exactly as they are shown in the Repository Property column of the table above. If the property names match, IBM Content Navigator automatically maps Microsoft Outlook properties to the properties in the class.
