IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.3 Supports: FileNet P8

Configuring IBM FileNet Content Manager repositories to display comments, likes, downloads, and tags

If your repository supports social features, you can enable users to view and edit comments, likes, downloads, and tags when they browse or search for documents.

Before you begin

You must install the Social Collaboration Base Extensions add-on on your IBM® FileNet® P8 system before you can use the social collaboration features in IBM Content Navigator.

Restriction: IBM FileNet P8, Version 5.2 or later.

About this task

You can configure your repository to display comments, likes, downloads, and tags. IBM Content Navigator can display information for these properties in the following areas of the web client:

Procedure

To configure your repository to display comments, likes, downloads, and tags:

Open the administration tool in the web client, click Repositories, and select your repository.
Configure system properties from the System Properties tab:
1. Select the following properties from the list of Available Properties: Comments, Likes, Downloads, and Tags.
2. Add these properties to the list of Selected Properties.
3. Save your changes.
Configure the browse display options from the Browse tab:
1. Select the following properties from the list of Available Properties: Comments, Likes, Downloads, and Tags.
2. Add these properties to the list of Selected Properties.
3. Save your changes.
Configure the search display options from the Search tab:
1. Select the following properties from the list of Available Properties in the Search Results section: Comments, Likes, Downloads, and Tags.
2. Add these properties to the list of Displayed Properties.
3. Save your changes.
