The global installation utilizes the operating system native package management tools to install and manage the IBM® Global Security Kit (GSKit) installation so that the latest version of the software package is installed to a default location on the target machine. On most operating systems this requires that the user performing the installation has administrative access to the machine.
The majority of platforms require that the GSKit Crypt component is installed prior to GSKit SSL component. Installation instructions using the native package management tools are provided for each of the supported platforms.
