Format of the DB2 node configuration file
The db2nodes.cfg file is used to define
the database partition servers that participate in a DB2® instance. The db2nodes.cfg file
is also used to specify the IP address or host name of a high-speed
interconnect, if you want to use a high-speed interconnect for database
partition server communication.
Enabling communications between database partition servers (Linux and UNIX)
This task describes how to enable communication between
the database partition servers that participate in your partitioned
database system. Communication between database partition servers
is handled by the Fast Communications Manager (FCM). To enable FCM,
a port or port range must be reserved in the /etc/services file
on each computer in your partitioned database system.
Enabling Control Center administration (Linux)
Before you can use the Control Center to administer your
partitioned database system, you must start the DB2 Administration server (DAS) on all computers.
