It is important to note the restrictions on PL/SQL compilation
support before performing PL/SQL compilation, or when troubleshooting
PL/SQL compilation or runtime problems.
In this version:
- PL/SQL functions and triggers cannot be created in a partitioned
database environment.
- The NCLOB data type is not supported for use in PL/SQL statements
or in PL/SQL contexts when the database is not defined as a Unicode
database. In Unicode databases, the NCLOB data type is mapped to a DB2® DBCLOB data type.
- The XMLTYPE data type is not supported.
- TYPE declaration is not supported in a function, procedure, trigger,
or anonymous block.
- In
a partitioned database environment, you cannot access cursor variables
from remote nodes. You can only access cursor variables from the coordinator
node.
