DB2 Connect Version 10.5 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Before you access DB2 data on System z® or System i® data servers by using DB2 Connect™ products, ensure that the data server meets requirements.
DB2 Connect supports connectivity to the following mainframe and System i servers:

In general, install the most recent Recommended Service Upgrade (RSU) to avoid encountering problems that are caused by software defects that IBM has corrected. Important: For Version 10.1, the fix for DB2 for z/OS V10
APAR PM79161 must be applied before you connect to the DB2 for z/OS database.
Without this APAR fix, DB2 for z/OS abends
when DB2 Connect attempts
to connect to the DB2 for z/OS database.
