DB2 Version 10.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

Some monitoring interfaces for HADR have been deprecated

The SNAPHADR administrative view and SNAP_GET_HADR table function have been deprecated in Version 10.1 and might be removed in a future release.

In Version 10.1, the MON_GET_HADR table function has been introduced to report information about HADR functionality. Also, the db2pd -hadr command output has been changed to report new HADR information. The HADR information reported by these interfaces include details about new functionality such as the HADR multiple standby mode.

You can still use the SNAPHADR administrative view and SNAP_GET_HADR table function, and the listed HADR-related monitor elements, but the HADR information reported does not include all of the details about new functionality. For example, if you call the SNAPHADR administrative view and SNAP_GET_HADR table function from the primary, they do not report information about the auxiliary standbys.

Resolution

Start using the MON_GET_HADR table function or the db2pd -hadr command to monitor HADR databases before the deprecated administrative view and table function arediscontinued.
