FP4: Enhanced encryption through NIST SP 800-131A compliance

DB2® V10.1 Fix Pack 4 adds NIST SP 800-131A compliance. This compliance provides enhanced and stronger cryptographic keys along with more robust algorithms.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued Special Publication 800-131A in 2011. This publication provides specific guidance for transitions to the use of stronger cryptographic keys and more robust algorithms. As of Fix Pack 4, DB2 V10.1 adheres to this guidance.

To comply with NIST SP 800-131A, DB2 V10.1 Fix Pack 4:

upgrades GSKit to 8.0.14.32.
upgrades IBM® Tivoli® Directory Server to 6.3.0.24.
upgrades the JDK to 6 SR14.
supports database manager configuration for TLS 1.2.
Note: Transport Layer Security Version 1.2 (TLS 1.2) is defined in RFC 5246 issued in August 2008.
