Data generated by package cache event monitors
Package cache event monitors produce
data about packages evicted from the package cache. You can choose
to have the output from a package cache event monitor to regular tables,
or to an unformatted event (UE) table.
If
data is written to a UE table, you must perform post-processing on
it to view the data.
Regardless of the output format you choose, all package cache event
data comes from one of three logical groups:
If you choose to have the package cache event data written to
regular tables, data from an additional group (CONTROL) is used to
generate metadata about the event monitor itself.
Note: Unlike the locking and unit
of work event monitors, you do not need to enable the generation of
package cache event data after you create a package cache event monitor;
data collection begins as soon as the event monitor is activated.
