Additional steps for enabling WebSphere MQ user-defined functions
Before applications can call the WebSphere® MQ user-defined functions, you must enable the user-defined functions.

If you want to use
the MQI-based MQ functions, you must install WebSphere MQ Version
6 or later.
About this task
The MQ functions in the DB2MQ1C,
DB2MQ2C, DB2MQ1N, and DB2MQ2N schemas are no longer supported because
they use AMI, which is no longer supported. These functions are:- GETCOL
- MQPUBLISH
- MQREAD
- MQREADALL
- MQREADALLCLOB
- MQREADCLOB
- MQRECEIVE
- MQRECEIVEALL
- MQRECEIVEALLCLOB
- MQRECEIVECLOB
- MQSEND
- MQSUBSCRIBE
- MQUNSUBSCRIBE
The
schema for the following functions is now DB2MQ.- MQREAD
- MQREADALL
- MQREADALLCLOB
- MQREADCLOB
- MQRECEIVE
- MQRECEIVEALL
- MQRECEIVEALLCLOB
- MQRECEIVECLOB
- MQSEND
To enable WebSphere MQ user-defined functions:
- Move your old WebSphere MQ user-defined functions to the new format
During installation
or migration, the current versions of some WebSphere MQ user-defined functions are
installed under schema DB2MQ by job DSNTIJRT. - Convert from the AMI-based MQ functions to the MQI-based MQ functions
The MQI-based MQ functions use two tables, SYSIBM.MQSERVICE_TABLE and SYSIBM.MQPOLICY_TABLE, instead of Application Messaging Interface (AMI) configuration files. You need to bind the new functions, create the tables, and convert the contents of the AMI configuration files to rows in the MQ tables. - Start the queue manager
To enable WebSphere MQ user-defined functions, start the queue manager after you create and configure the broker domain. - Customize WLM application environments for running WebSphere MQ user-defined functions
To run WebSphere MQ user-defined functions, you need to set up two different WLM application environments and corresponding WLM startup procedures. - Verify the DB2 and WebSphere MQ setup
After you set up the WebSphere MQ environment, you can verify that it is set up correctly by running DB2 jobs.
