DashTools package overview

Use the DashTools package to assist you in debugging data, widget, and dashboard integrations in the IBM Dashboard Application Services Hub.

DashTools is an optional package in Dashboard Application Services Hub that provides widgets and utilities to assist you in configuring and integrating elements in the console environment. For example, the included widgets can help you inspect dashboard eventing and data integration.

The DashTools package files and installation scripts are available in JazzSM_HOME/ui/samples/DashTools/.

To install the DashTools package:

  1. At the command line, change to the following directory:
    JazzSM_HOME/ui/samples/DashTools/.
  2. Depending on your operating system, run one of the following commands:
    • Linux operating systemOperating systems such as UNIXinstall.sh JazzSM_HOME console_admin_user_ID console_admin_password
    • Windows operating systemsinstall.bat JazzSM_HOME console_admin_user_ID console_admin_password
    Where:
    JazzSM_HOME is the file path to your DashTools home directory.
    console_admin_user_ID is the user ID for a console administrator.
    console_admin_password is the password associated with the specified console administrator user ID.
    Windows operating systemsTip: Use a relative path in your installation command from the DashTools directory to JazzSM_HOME. For example, use the following command:
    install.bat ..\..\.. console_admin_user_ID console_admin_password

When installed, the widgets are available from the widget palette in a discrete catalog named DashTools.
