Setting up certificate authentication for IBM® InfoSphere Streams for Microsoft Excel

To use certificate authentication with Streams for Excel, you must import the certificate so that it is available to InfoSphere® Streams and Microsoft Excel.

Before you begin

Certificate authentication with Streams for Excel requires that InfoSphere Streams is configured to use certificate authentication for the web management service. By default, certificate authentication is not enabled for this service. For instructions, see Setting up client certificate authentication.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the certificate from the InfoSphere Streams administrator.
  2. Import the certificate into Internet Explorer:
    1. Open the Internet Options panel and select > Content > Certificates > Import ...
    2. Follow the Certificate Import Wizard to import the certificate.

Results

After you complete the certificate import, you can use certificate authentication in Streams for Excel.
