Extracting the contents of the Quick Start Edition installation package

After extracting the contents of the Quick Start Edition installation package, the installation files are located in the StreamsInstallFiles directory.

Procedure

Extract the contents of the Quick Start Edition installation package by entering the following command:

  tar -zxvf product-installation-package-name.tar.gz

The tar command creates the StreamsInstallFiles directory, which contains the self-extracting binary file (InfoSphereStreamsSetup.bin) and other installation files.
