IBM InfoSphere Streams Version 4.1.0

Configuration settings for Java memory issues

If you encounter Java™ out-of-memory errors when using streamtool commands or the Streams Console, these InfoSphere® Streams configuration settings enable you to allocate more memory for the Java environment.

For streamtool command errors, you can update the maximum JVM size by using the STREAMTOOL_MAX_JVM_SIZE environment variable. For troubleshooting information, see Java out-of-memory error when using streamtool commands.

For Streams Console errors, you can use the following domain properties to increase the amount of memory that can be allocated to the Java environment for the web management service (SWS):
  • sws.initialJvmSize
  • sws.maximumJvmSize
For more information about these properties, enter streamtool man domainproperties. For troubleshooting information, see Java out-of-memory error in the Streams Console.
