You cannot connect to the Content Classification server on AIX®, Linux,
or Solaris.
Symptoms
On AIX, Linux, or Solaris, you try to connect
to the Content Classification server
and receive an error that the gethostbyname method
failed.
Causes
A localhost entry might be missing or incorrectly specified
in the /etc/hosts file.
Resolving the problem
To resolve this problem, open the
/etc/hosts file
on the computer on which
Content Classification is installed and verify
that there are localhost entries for the unqualified computer
name. For example:
127.0.0.1 localhost ComputerName
::1 localhost ComputerName
Important: Ensure
that only the unqualified computer name is listed in the localhost
entries. The domain name should not be specified. For example,
the entries should not specify ComputerName.DomainName.
