Patterns overview

IBM PureApplication System V2.1 or later and IBM PureApplication Service V2.1 or later referred to in this documentation as the appliance, provides the framework for designing, deploying, and managing Rational Integration Tester topology configurations in the cloud. A deployed configuration is converted from a logical model to a topology of virtual machines that are running in the cloud. The appliance efficiently runs workloads, manages all integrated components, monitors the health of the system, and administers and manages configuration deployments.

The following virtual system patterns are provided. Each pattern provides a topology definition for repeatable deployment to the cloud. Such definitions accelerate the creation and configuration of Rational Integration Tester environments.

IBM Rational Integration Tester Pattern

To create, modify, and run service tests, virtualization tests, and performance tests, use this pattern.

IBM Rational Test Control Panel Pattern

To take advantage of the virtual services you developed in IBM Rational Integration Tester to create, share, and deploy virtualized test environments, use this pattern.

IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server Pattern

To create, maintain, publish, and run message-based stubs and database stubs, use this pattern.

IBM Rational Performance Test Server Pattern

To run performance tests and examine the results, use this pattern.

To set up the license server, use this pattern.
