Rational® Integration Tester projects
store user files, and can be created in any location to which a user
has access. However, using a remote or network location can reduce Rational Integration Tester’s
performance significantly, so it is recommended that Rational Integration Tester is
installed on a local drive.
Rational Integration Tester creates
a .rit8 directory in the user’s home directory
to store project and configuration information.
Subject to licensing agreements, a single shared location can be
used to allow multiple Rational Integration Tester users
on the same computer.
- On the Windows platform,
the default directory is C:\Documents and Settings\<User
Name>\.rit8.
- On AIX®, Linux, or Solaris, the default directory is /home/<User
Name>/.rit8.
The following configuration details are stored:
- Library Manager settings
- Recently used project lists
- Individual project details
- Project workspace properties
- Schema properties
