About the Rational Test Workbench installation

The IBM® Rational® Test Workbench installation package includes several products and components. These can be installed together or separately.

The Rational Test Workbench package includes the following products and components:

Rational Test Workbench Eclipse Client
IBM Rational Integration Tester
Rational Integration Tester Platform Pack
IBM Rational Test Control Panel
IBM Rational Performance Tester
IBM Rational Functional Tester

Note: If you purchased IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server or IBM Rational Performance Test Server, you must install the IBM Rational Integration Tester Agent. The Rational Integration Tester Agent is available with the Rational Test Virtualization Server or Rational Performance Test Server installation packages. You must download and install the agent separately from Rational Test Workbench.

If you are only interested in mobile testing, and not the other components in Rational Test Workbench, consider purchasing IBM Rational Test Workbench Mobile Test Edition rather than the full IBM Rational Test Workbench. In addition, see Installing the mobile test client for information about installation on mobile devices, emulators, and simulators.

All products in the package are supplied with 30-day trial licenses. Before the trial expires, you must install permanent licenses for the product. For more information about licensing options, see Managing licenses.
